3rd Shift Mold Operator
About The Position
Primary Responsibilities: 1. Sets up, operates, and troubleshoots blow mold machines 2. Performs maintenance and minor repairs on blow mold machines Working Conditions: Manufacturing plant; will be required to wear personal protective equipment per policy and may be requested to work overtime per production schedule. Qualifications: 1. Must be able to lift 55 pounds consistently. 2. The ability to read and write in English. 3. Capability of meeting production standards and exceeding established standards on occasion during normal production runs. 4. Ability to recognize quality and production issues and make decisions or communicate them to management. 5. Basic mathematical skills and knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, machinery, blue prints, and skilled in the use of light industrial equipment. Typical Duties and Essential Responsibilities: 1. Operates blow mold extrusion machines to produce blow molded hoses according to product specifications, utilizing the blow mold machine and some minor hand tools, cutters, cutting tools, and other production related peripherals. 2. Performs basic inspection and minor repair of blow molded hoses utilizing the applicable mentioned production peripherals. 3. Maintains consistent production output standards and records daily output on production log sheets according to department requirements and specifications. 4. Monitors and maintains proper machine set-up, machine operation, and maintenance calls. 5. Responsible for housekeeping and organization of your area and related areas in department. 6. Responsible for safe work area, including prompt reporting of any safety hazards to the safety committee or supervisor. 7. Performs any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor or other management as required. Quantifiable Measures: 1. Quantity and quality of product produced 2. Attendance 3.
