About The Position

The position involves taking responsibility for ensuring that jobs are completed on time while working collaboratively with a cross-functional team that includes Tooling Engineers, CNC Machinists, and EDM Machinists. The role requires assembling molds of varying complexity with minimal supervision to meet customer approval, planning and scheduling minor jobs to meet quoted delivery dates, and coordinating with the Tool Room Supervisor to align with project deadlines. Additionally, the position entails disassembling and troubleshooting molds, developing and executing plans to correct issues within reasonable time and cost constraints, and performing inspection procedures efficiently and cost-effectively. The candidate will also wire runner-less molds independently, determine timing and assemble molds with rack and gear systems, including hydraulic cylinder setups, and operate necessary shop equipment safely and efficiently. Effective communication with outside vendors is essential, as is the preparation of necessary prints or sketches for outsourced work. The use of Mastercam software to view designs and create manufacturing prints is also a key responsibility. The candidate will fit parting lines and shutoffs for injection and LSR molds, manage and perform minor mold repairs, and perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
