Requirements

  • Machine shop Mathematics(algebra, geometry, trigonometry)
  • Ability to run conventional machine shop machines (including CNC equipment)
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Good interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Responsibilities

  • Work in a neat and orderly manne
  • Repair molds in accordance with Tool Shop Work Instructions
  • Work with more advanced associates to accomplish repairs
  • Work with a variety of associates within Berry to accomplish organized objectives
  • Tear down and assemble molds
  • Change core inserts & orifice sizes
  • Troubleshoot mold problems
  • Use precision tools and bench work
  • Understanding workings of molds
  • Clean Shop as needed
  • Be able to lead a repair operation and keep it moving toward completion
  • Analyze parts and plan repair procedures
  • Detect possible future problems or existing problems during the course of preventive maintenance
  • Follows applicable Food Safety and cGMP polices.
