About The Position

Under the direction of the Mold Maintenance Supervisor, the Mold Cleaning Technician is responsible for mold cleaning/greasing, proper shutdown and purging of machines, and ensuring the assigned work area is operating in a safe and efficient manner. This will be achieved by maintaining HellermannTyton's certifications by supporting all corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation. Essential Functions: Properly clean and grease molds on all assigned machines. Proper shutdown and purging of all machines. Expected to sustain a clean and orderly work area. Use the Process Monitoring System (Mattec) to properly enter all downtime and scrap codes correctly for future analysis. Properly change and verify date codes on assigned machines. Communicate all quality and/or process issues to the Processing Team Supervisor, Process Tech 2, and other necessary support departments. Have a basic understanding of how an injection mold operates in order to look for faults Evaluating and correcting part containment methods Other Functions Keep assigned areas, including tops of presses, clean and free of loose material. Required Personal Protective Equipment Safety shoes, and eye & ear protection are to be always worn during your scheduled work hours. Department manager/supervisor will cover additional PPE as required on department-specific work instructions. All employees entering the manufacturing area and other identified locations must wear the designated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a condition of employment. Complete Control of Hazardous Energy Training Work in Mold Maintenance when time allows Other duties may be assigned. Success in this role will require Ability to use the Process Monitoring System (Mattec) to properly enter all downtime and scrap codes correctly for future analysis Ability to properly change and verify date codes on assigned machines. Ability to properly clean and grease molds on all assigned machines. Basic knowledge of the operation of Injection molds Thorough knowledge of production procedures and work instructions. Ability to communicate effectively with all support departments. Ability to function as a team player.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Above-average mechanical aptitude required.
  • Must be able to read and perform basic math.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Must be able to properly use basic hand tools.
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work daily overtime if necessary, and/or weekends due to customer demands.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Safety shoes, and eye & ear protection are to be always worn during your scheduled work hours.
  • Wearing your Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a condition of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior machine operation or Mold Maintenance experience preferred.
