As a MOHS Surgery Nurse at QualDerm Partners, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to patients undergoing MOHS surgery, a specialized procedure for treating skin cancer. You will work directly with our experienced surgical team to ensure that procedures run smoothly and that patients receive the highest standard of care before, during, and after surgery. Your compassion and expertise will help facilitate a supportive and safe environment for our patients during their surgical journey.

Requirements

  • Current RN licensure in the state of North Carolina.
  • Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a surgical, dermatology, or MOHS setting preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the surgeon during MOHS procedures, ensuring all surgical instruments and supplies are ready and organized.
  • Provide direct patient care, including preoperative assessments, monitoring vital signs, and postoperative care.
  • Educate patients about the MOHS procedure, addressing any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records following compliance standards.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective communication and patient management throughout the surgical process.
  • Maintain a clean and sterile surgical environment to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
