About The Position

QualDerm Partners is dedicated to providing exceptional dermatological care, and we are currently seeking a committed and detail-oriented Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant to join our team in Wilmington, NC. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our Mohs surgeons and enhancing the overall patient experience. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for surgery, assisting during procedures, and providing essential post-operative care. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is highly preferred.
Previous experience in a medical assistant role, especially in a surgical or dermatological setting.
Familiarity with surgical instruments and understanding of aseptic techniques.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring compassion and care.
Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic clinical environment.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards in healthcare.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for Mohs surgeries by reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
Assist surgeons in the operatory by ensuring all required instruments and materials are available.
Provide post-operative instructions and support to patients following their procedures.
Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment in accordance with safety protocols.
Handle administrative duties such as managing patient schedules and documentation.
Educate patients on the Mohs surgical process and address any concerns they may have.
