About The Position

QualDerm Partners is dedicated to providing exceptional dermatological care, and we are currently seeking a committed and detail-oriented Mohs Surgery Medical Assistant to join our team in Wilmington, NC. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting our Mohs surgeons and enhancing the overall patient experience. Your responsibilities will include preparing patients for surgery, assisting during procedures, and providing essential post-operative care. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical assistant role, especially in a surgical or dermatological setting.
  • Familiarity with surgical instruments and understanding of aseptic techniques.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring compassion and care.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a dynamic clinical environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficient in electronic health records (EHR) and medical office software.
  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and ethical standards in healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for Mohs surgeries by reviewing medical histories and taking vital signs.
  • Assist surgeons in the operatory by ensuring all required instruments and materials are available.
  • Provide post-operative instructions and support to patients following their procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and organized surgical environment in accordance with safety protocols.
  • Handle administrative duties such as managing patient schedules and documentation.
  • Educate patients on the Mohs surgical process and address any concerns they may have.
