We are the fastest growing Dermatology practice in the Northeast. We are searching for a friendly, driven, hard-working medical assistant to join us. This vacancy does require weekend flexibility and 40 hours of Full-time work shift.
Requirements
- Experience in dermatology, surgical assisting, or Mohs surgery strongly preferred
- Strong attention to detail and comfort working with specimens
- Excellent communication and patient-care skills
- Ability to multitask in a quick clinical environment
Nice To Haves
- EMR experience (eClinicalWorks/EMR of your choice) is a plus
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain surgical rooms and instruments for all Mohs cases
- Assist during Mohs procedures, ensuring proper sterile technique
- Handle, label, and transport tissue specimens accurately
- Document patient information, procedure notes, and pathology details in EMR
- Provide pre-op and post-op patient education and wound-care instructions
- Perform clinical tasks including suture removal, dressing changes, and wound checks
- Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed
- Support clinic flow and collaborate with the dermatology team to ensure a smooth patient experience
