Technical expert with process engineering experience in metal deposition technologies (PVD/CVD/ALD) with a strong Wafer Fab background. Must have data analytics skills for performing analysis to identify, troubleshoot, and solve complex process, yield, and integration related problems.

Requirements

  • BS - Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry
  • 7+ years experience in metal deposition process engineering
  • Wafer Fab / Equipment experience
  • Communicates complex ideas, anticipates potential objections and persuades others, often at senior levels, to adopt a different point of view
  • Technical expertise in metal deposition Unit Process and Wafer Fab operations
  • Demonstrates depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized discipline or field
  • Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
  • Leads others to solve complex problems; uses sophisticated analytical thought to exercise judgement and identify innovative solutions
  • Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by functional policies
  • Communicates difficult concepts and negotiates with others to adopt a different point of view
  • Domain knowledge of 4 or more processes on 2 or more technologies
  • Data analytics skills for performing analysis to identify, troubleshoot, and solve complex process, yield, and integration related problems

Responsibilities

  • Lead discussions with customers to understand their High Value Problems (HVP), propose and implement new Continuous Improvement Projects (CIP), capture learnings to maximize service opportunities and implement solutions to improve customer KPI's.
  • Increases CSA (Customer Service Agreement) value through defect / variability / COO reduction and PM /process Cpk /matching /output optimization.
  • Identifies opportunities for CSA renewal, upsell, and penetration.
  • Demonstrates and drives the adoption of new service technologies including FabVantage offerings at customer sites through demos, on site evaluations and joint development programs.
  • Resolves complex tool issues utilizing analytics, equipment, and process knowledge using systematic troubleshooting methodologies for effective root cause diagnosis and issues resolution.
  • Issues reports and present findings to customers which include explanation of the priority and provide suggestions based on information derived from Bill of Materials, Equipment Constants, tool sensor data, and on wafer results.
  • Mentor/Lead junior level MPE's.
