Requirements

  • Currently pursuing an education in a STEM related field of physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or materials science.
  • Pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Materials Science with fundamental course work completed in their respective major.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, OneNote).
  • Ability to learn the operation, modification, and calibration of production equipment and systems.
  • Familiarity with basic electrical and mechanical components (switches, transistors, pulleys, etc).
  • Ability to use analytical skills to read charts and graphs to find trends.
  • Ability to apply statistical methods to analyze desired data.
  • Ability to present results in a professional manner and speak in a formal meeting setting.
  • Ability to communicate on a regular basis with all levels of associates.
  • Flexibility and willingness to stay beyond regular work hours to complete the task at hand.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Problem solver, can-do attitude, willingness to push tasks forward and demonstrate ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Help execute tests and experiments to optimize module processes and performance.
  • Preparation for samples for material analysis and recording keeping of tests and experiments.
  • Operation of production equipment, including maintaining equipment uptime.
  • Attention to detail and summarizing experimental data.
  • Ability to clearly and regularly present technical data.
  • Optimize equipment related processes for production development projects.
  • Design and run test plans to further investigate continuous improvement for production process.
  • Upon the completion of this internship, the intern is required to present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team.
