About The Position

The Modular Preconstruction Manager will lead constructability analysis and construction planning for prefabricated assemblies or entire builds in data center development. This role involves driving constructability considerations during the design phase, overseeing off-site fabrication processes, producing detailed project execution plans, and collaborating with local installation teams. The position requires a high degree of technical skills and understanding of data center construction methods, as well as familiarity with off-site fabrication, ensuring project success across multiple internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in construction project management, architecture, engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead constructability analysis and construction planning for prefabricated assemblies or entire builds.
• Drive constructability considerations during the design phase of modular efforts.
• Oversee off-site fabrication processes to ensure timely and high-quality delivery.
• Produce detailed project execution plans and collaborate with local installation teams.
• Manage procurement activities associated with resourcing and materials for program delivery.
• Evaluate resources to ensure adequate staffing and materials for job completion.
• Review and approve vendor scope of work, design review of site and building plans, pay applications, and invoices.
• Communicate risk mitigation goals and develop metrics to track progress.
• Represent Microsoft as a safety leader on all construction programs, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
• Conduct routine safety program audits and participate in incident investigations.
• Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contracts.
• Facilitate the delivery of campus projects by making timely data-based decisions.
• Monitor the approved project budget and suggest necessary adjustments for project controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain corporate vision and goals for the project.
• Drive campus-based delivery solutions and analyze technical information for recommendations.
