Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer/Principal Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will support a growing portfolio of programs and IRADs that focus on missile defense, space, and intelligence and will support various modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) project teams in evaluating the mission performance of military systems. Relocation Assistance is not available and does not offer a remote option. Domestic travel (up to 10%) may be required, dependent on program needs. This position will specifically focus on the development and analysis of models and simulations utilizing the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) Framework.

  • Bachelor of Science in a STEM field and 2 years of related experience OR Master of Science in a STEM field and 0 years of related experience
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience using Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) to inform the development of systems along the left side of the 'Systems Engineering Vee'
  • Experience using Python, MATLAB, or related technologies to interpret complex data
  • Comfortable communicating technical information to technical and non-technical customers
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Active DoD Top Secret Clearance
  • Master's degree in Systems Engineering
  • Experience using the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM)
  • Experience with Ansys ModelCenter
  • Experience with SIMDIS
  • Ability to support development of systems engineering models utilizing SysML and Cameo
  • Experience using agile development methodologies
  • Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Graduate Certificate
  • INCOSE ASEP (or above) certification
  • Object Modeling Group (OMG) Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Model Builder Fundamental Certification
