As a systems engineer on our team, you’ll have the chance to assess and evaluate combat weapon systems using computer-based analytical tools, including Excel, MATLAB, and the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, or Modeling (AFSIM) analytical framework. Your technical expertise will be vital as you evaluate and modernize combat weapon systems. You’ll develop your skills in critical thinking, data analytics, and operations analysis while gaining experience in constructive modeling and simulation of combat operations. Requirements

  • Experience with scenario development and performing analytical assessments of combat weapon systems using mission-level constructive simulation tools, including AFSIM, Suppressor, ITASE, or NGTS
  • Experience with a variety of COTS and GOTS modeling and simulation and data science tools
  • Experience developing software in MATLAB Simulink and C++, and leading software teams to manipulate data between different formats and perform post-processing of data
  • Experience with U.S. and foreign combat weapon systems, including radar, directed energy weapons, surface to air missile systems, or anti-satellite weapons
  • Experience developing software models of radar, interceptor, and sensor subsystems
  • Ability to apply operational analysis principles, theories, and concepts to execute study plans and analysis matrices
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree

Nice To Haves

  • Experience developing AFSIM scripts to customize model behaviors and decisions within an analytical scenario
  • Experience with Agile software development
  • Ability to analyze large amounts of raw model output to identify key drivers
  • Ability to distill, summarize, and articulate complex technical insights and findings
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam
  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field
