About The Position

EDCO Products is seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Sample Maker to join our Marketing team at our headquarters in Hopkins, MN. In this role, you will play an important part in supporting our sales and marketing efforts by creating high-quality product samples, displays, and materials used by customers, sales representatives, and trade shows across the country. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Marketing Manager, with standard hours of Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months experience with various hand tools (i.e. saws, drills, tin snips, hammers, screwdrivers)
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Nice To Haves

  • One-year related experience or carpentry skills (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Identifying low stock in the Hopkins sample room for standard sample sizes, fan decks, and literature based on min/max quantities provided by Marketing leadership - low stock should be notified to Marketing leadership to strategize and execute reorder from SAMPCO and/or Point B based on items needed
  • Coordinating and shipping out all sample requests for local reps sent through Marketing Sample Portal
  • Receiving, prioritizing, and executing all approved custom cut sample requests received manually - approved requests will come from Marketing leadership
  • Building and installing product on all tradeshow assets as directed by Marketing leadership
  • Assistance with Lowe's signage sample cut, adherence, testing, etc.
  • Building and shipping out all sample board/sales collateral as directed by Marketing leadership
  • Inputting all NetSuite orders for product needed to execute workload mentioned above
