The Model Governance Specialist will be integral in maintaining the integrity, compliance, and performance of financial and operational models within the organization. This role requires collaboration with model developers, risk managers, and business stakeholders to establish and enforce model governance frameworks. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, effective business communication, attention to detail, and knowledge of regulatory requirements related to risk management.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain model governance policies, procedures, and standards to ensure consistent and effective model management.
  • Create reports and metrics to update stakeholders and governance bodies on the Risk Modelling COE's progress and model risk status.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance model development governance and controls. Develop business intelligence and technology solutions to standardize and automate key processes.
  • Monitor model usage and performance to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Present compliance reports to senior management and regulatory bodies.
  • Work closely with model developers, risk managers, model validation, and business units to understand their needs and provide feedback on model governance best practices.
  • Provide training and support to model users and developers on model governance policies and procedures. Stay informed about industry trends and best practices.
  • Bachelor's degree in communication, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in risk management, project management, risk analytics, or a related field in the financial services industry.
  • Proficiency in business intelligence tools, programming skills, and modern risk analytics platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Competitive salary range between $95,000.00 and $140,000.00.
