About The Position

For this opportunity, we are seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented Model-Based Systems Engineer . This exciting position will have the chance to work on just about any aspect there is as it pertains to supporting NAVSEA’s Systems of Systems engineering competency and Technical/Certification Authority. You will help ensure the capabilities delivered to the Fleet are technically sound, resilient, interoperable, and compliant with DoD and DON policy, requirements, architectures, and standards. What does this mean to you? We are seeking expertise in model-based systems engineering such as: Experience applying MBSE practices, techniques, and tools to systems design and integration Proven experience performing research, development, or test and evaluation related to systems and weapons implementation Working knowledge of Navy and/or DoD weapon system development and integration Experience contributing to multi-disciplinary teams including both government and contractor personnel Ability to develop systems engineering products to support acquisition program delivery Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, coordinate, and evaluate highly technical products across multiple organizations Ability to apply modeling to support system requirements, design, analysis, verification, and validation across the acquisition lifecycle Skill in producing reports and artifacts to support NAVSEA engineering and certification activities Experience coordinating information and resources to meet digital engineering objectives Familiarity with SysML/UML and MBSE tools such as Cameo, MagicDraw, Rhapsody, or similar

Requirements

  • Must have Cameo Modeler experience
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Experience applying MBSE practices, techniques, and tools to systems design and integration
  • Proven experience performing research, development, or test and evaluation related to systems and weapons implementation
  • Working knowledge of Navy and/or DoD weapon system development and integration
  • Experience contributing to multi-disciplinary teams including both government and contractor personnel
  • Ability to develop systems engineering products to support acquisition program delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, coordinate, and evaluate highly technical products across multiple organizations
