About The Position

For this opportunity, we are seeking a Mid-Level Systems Engineer with strong Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) expertise to support the integration of cyber capabilities into shore-based communication and IT systems. This role will work closely with customers, stakeholders, and multi-disciplinary engineering teams to develop system architectures, define and decompose requirements, and ensure cyber capabilities are effectively integrated, verified, and validated. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience using MBSE to drive systems engineering activities, particularly for cyber and IT-focused integrations , and is comfortable briefing technical recommendations and status to customer leadership. What does this mean to you? We’re looking for a systems thinker who is comfortable operating at both the architecture and model level and can translate cyber and IT concepts into clear system models and architectures. In this position, you will: Lead MBSE-driven integration of cyber capabilities into shore-based communications and supporting IT systems, partnering closely with cybersecurity, network, software, and systems teams to deliver cohesive, operationally grounded solutions. Develop, derive, and decompose system and interface requirements with a strong cyber/IT emphasis, maintaining rigorous SysML traceability from requirements through architecture to verification to ensure clarity, coverage, and auditability. Build and maintain logical, functional, and physical architecture views; author CONOPS to capture system behavior, operational threads, and cyber interactions that inform design decisions and stakeholder understanding. Implement federated MBSE modeling approaches across multiple systems and stakeholders; provide hands-on MBSE technical leadership, including modeling standards, best practices, and governance for scalable, reusable architectures. Plan and execute test, integration, and verification activities tied to the model (including test plans and participation in integration events); prepare and deliver technical briefs, architecture walkthroughs, and status updates for customers and stakeholders. Note, you must have hands-on experience with Cameo Systems Modeler (or equivalent SysML modeling tools), experience developing system architectures, requirements, and interface definitions within an MBSE framework, and strong written and verbal communication skills.
