About The Position

As a Model Bartender at Daylight Beach Club, you will be responsible for delivering expertly crafted beverages while maintaining a polished appearance that aligns with the venue's brand standards. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in high-energy environments and excel in customer interaction, ensuring a positive experience for guests.

Requirements

  • 3 years high-volume bartending experience and/or 2 years experience bartending in a fine dining establishment or equivalent.
  • 1 year experience in marketing nightclubs or restaurants and/or related experience in a retail or marketing internship or related university marketing coursework preferred.
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a high-stress and high-volume environment.
  • Extensive knowledge about food and wine and ability to confidently speak on and properly serve such items.
  • Ability to up-sell.
  • Experience with social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, etc., and active participation in social media.
  • Good communication skills; multilingual is a plus.
  • Must be able to speak and read in English proficiently.
  • Basic computer skills and experience with POS systems.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to use a calculator.
  • Knowledge of different types of tendering guest checks.
  • Physically able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs on a tray or arm service where it applies.
  • Physically able to walk or stand without assistance on various surfaces for an extended period of time.

Responsibilities

  • Mix and serve drinks, proportioning ingredients to exact recipes and cost criteria.
  • Exhibit proper knowledge, selling techniques, and service delivery of both non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
  • Command full menu knowledge at all times and preparation methods.
  • Follow the sequence of service utilizing all proper procedures standardized by venue managers and chefs.
  • Provide direction and assistance to support staff to ensure proper operation of the bar.
  • Effectively communicate with management and service staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests or other employees.
  • Work as a team, assisting all guests' and employees' needs and inquiries.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Greet guests in a positive, friendly manner and make them feel welcome.
  • Anticipate guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain a level of professionalism that will make guests want to return.
  • Bid farewell to guests, using their names when known, and encourage them to return.
  • Perform all opening and closing duties based on shift assignment.
  • Build and establish a personal clientele.
  • Encourage guests to make weekly table reservations.
  • Adhere to weekly table and guest list requirements.
  • Assist in developing restaurant database through networking and completing data cards.
  • Participate in weekly marketing requirements.
  • Follow all procedures and policies set forth by the company, division, department, and health and safety regulations.
