The Need For over 25 years, IJM has pioneered the work to protect vulnerable people from violence. 9 out of 9 times in the last decade, IJM’s Justice System Strengthening Projects have reduced slavery and violence between 50 and 85% for very large populations of people in poverty. As we grow to expand our impact to protect 500 million people from violence, we are seeking a Mobilization Intern to join the 202 6 S ummer Internship class. The US Mobilization team advances IJM's mission by inspiring people to action. They create trusted spaces that unify diverse groups, provide opportunities for participation and witness , and cultivate long-term support, all to empower our movement to protect those in poverty from violence. This internship will involve supporting a variety of US Mobilization summer campaigns and events including church engagement, volunteer & college mobilization, and workplace engagement activities. This person will manage the US Mobilization email correspondence, data and tracking, administration tasks, and support volunteer program onboarding. Tasks may include: Shipping & Inventory Management Invoice Coordination Volunteer Program Onboarding Technology & Data Management Ad hoc creative assignments such as writing, copyediting, and graphic design ; Participating in departmental and general IJM administrative support. This position can be fully in-person or hybrid (onsite Tuesdays & Thursdays) in the Washington, DC area or remote for non-local candidates. It reports to the Sr. Coordinator, Mobilization . The position requires 20 -30 h ours per wee k , primarily during the hours of 8:30 am -5:30pm EST. S ummer internship program dates are J une 1 – Aug . 7, 2026 . Application Deadline : Dec. 31, 2025.
