About The Position

Sentara Heart Hospital located on the campus of Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia is hiring a Mobility Tech for the Advanced Heart Failure Specialty Unit! Shift: Full-Time Days Shift Advanced Heart Failure Unit: 24 bed Specialty Unit that provides high acuity cardiac care to patients with severe heart failure, pre/post heart transplant, the mechanical circulatory ventricular assist devices, and pulmonary hypertension. Work with high tech equipment such as mechanical circulatory support including ventricular assist devices (LVAD, BiVAD) and telemetry monitors. Environment relies on 24 hours consistent communication and intricate interdisciplinary teamwork skills. Nurses handle 3-4 patients on this unit based on acuity level. Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent Required to have BLS within 90 days of hire and ACLS within 1 year of hire.
