The Mobility Technician performs designated routine patient mobilization tasks. Duties are of a supportive nature and are performed only with the on-site supervision of the delegating nurse or therapist. This position does not interpret referrals, perform evaluation procedures, initiate or adjust treatment programs, assume responsibility for planning patient care, and/or discuss medical diagnosis with patients. The Mobility Technician coordinates daily unit specific patient mobilization activities, documents in EMR, and performs other duties as assigned.
