Requirements

High school diploma and post-secondary course work in biological sciences, medical terminology, communication and conflict resolution, basic life support, first aid, or similar required.
Current CPR certification required.
0-2 years related experience with exercise, activity, and/or older adults preferred.
Must be able to work independently, take initiative, and be dependable.
A passion for the value of exercise and activity in improving health, function, and quality of life is needed to be successful.

Nice To Haves

Certification as a certified nursing assistant, personal trainer, exercise coach, or similar recommended.
Associate/bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, other biological science, or psychology in lieu of other recommended certifications.

Responsibilities

Lead low intensity progressive exercises under the direction of a physical therapist for older adult patients
Schedules and records patient participation
Monitor progress and communicate effectively
