About The Position

The Mobility Operations Program Manager at MARTA is responsible for overseeing the performance of paratransit service contractors, ensuring compliance with contract requirements, and providing safety and technical oversight. This role involves daily supervision of audits, reporting abnormalities, and managing incidents and customer complaints. The position plays a critical role in maintaining efficient, safe, and reliable paratransit services, while also participating in community and transportation-related meetings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in core transportation operations.
  • At least two years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Direct experience with paratransit services is desired.
  • Working knowledge of operational and maintenance requirements, emergency and safety procedures, and compliance practices.
  • Direct experience in managing contract services is desired.
  • Ability to interpret FTA and ADA regulations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and departmental software platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with computerized management maintenance systems.
  • Knowledge of primary departmental software platforms and web-based programs.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise audits of the physical operations of the paratransit project in accordance with contract documents.
  • Report any abnormalities of the project to the Director of Mobility Services.
  • Manage audits of incidents and accidents and investigate customer complaints.
  • Conduct random record audits and field observations to analyze contract compliance and quality assurance.
  • Provide written documentation of all activities related to audits and contractor performance.
  • Maintain documentation of contractor performance and audit history.
  • Notify appropriate MARTA staff and contractor personnel of situations impacting service delivery.
  • Formulate recommendations for policy and procedure changes based on audit findings.
  • Participate in community meetings and transportation-related forums as requested.
  • Respond and assume command during emergencies or major incidents on a 24-hour basis.
