About The Position

EMCOR Facilities Services (EFS) has an immediate need for a Mobile Utility Worker in the Palo Alto/ Peninsula, CA area. The technician will report to the Operations Manager and lead key initiatives in an assigned geographical territory to ensure the effective, efficient, and timely delivery and fulfillment of EFS’s line of services and associated products to dispersed and varied customers through the deployment and utilization of a proprietary facilities supplier network. Team member will perform and maintain all exterior items on the grounds in addition to providing general repairs and assembly as needed. This position will be key to ensure all buildings maintain pristine appearance and upkeep; and reporting any inconsistencies, thefts ordamages. #EGS #LI-NS1

Requirements

  • Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities as well as possession of any required licenses or certifications is qualifying.
  • Education - High School diploma or equivalent
  • Experience - 2+ Years
  • License/Certificates - California Driver's License
  • Ability to use common tools
  • Knowledge of use of smart phones
  • Knowledge, ability to use/learn database software for data entry.
  • Project and maintain a positive image with those contacted in the course of work.

Responsibilities

  • Trash collection: Regularly walk around the hospital grounds to pick up and dispose of trash and litter, aiding in cleanliness and hygiene of the environment.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Use and maintain various outdoor maintenance tools and equipment appropriately.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe outdoor environment.
  • Minor repairs: Perform minor repair work on outdoor furnishings, hospital signage, fences, or pavement as required.
  • Reset furniture(tables, chairs, benches, trash receptacles) as needed.
  • Check and complete General Exterior Maintenance Request database for Action Items (Exterior Management & Transportation Services).
  • Visual review of areas covered during morning umbrella rounds, report to Manager any items that should be addressed( broken furniture, missing trash receptacles, etc.) by contracted vendors (overgrown ivy, cracked pavers, etc.) and other Stanford Health Care (SHC) departments (brokensprinklers, light bulbs/tubes not working, seam felt failing etc.).
  • Inventory, label, input into database all Exterior Management and Transportation Services Properties (Furniture, Umbrellas, Trash Receptacles) deployed and store at warehouse.
  • General Repairs of Exterior Management properties (furniture, Umbrellas, etc) assemble shelving, furniture other items as needed.
  • Move/relocate furniture and other Exterior Management properties as needed.
  • Apply QR code labels to all Exterior Management properties (deployed & stored).
  • Assemble new furniture and deploy new furniture and properties as received, Minor repairs of Exterior Management properties (repair, replace signage, furniture repair, replace parking dots, wheel stops, etc.).
