About The Position
The Palmetto Palace is seeking a dedicated and skilled Mobile Unit Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Charleston, SC. This part-time position offers an hourly rate of $60 and involves providing essential health services to individuals and families through our Mobile Health Unit. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with a physician to deliver primary and secondary health services, including preventive care, chronic disease management, immunizations, routine lab tests, risk assessments, and adult physicals. The role requires a commitment to quality medical care and adherence to professional standards and policies of the mobile health unit. In this position, the Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be responsible for reviewing medical histories, coordinating onsite medical care, and participating in comprehensive treatment planning. The candidate will ensure prompt follow-up on abnormal test results and refer clients to appropriate healthcare facilities when necessary. Additionally, the role involves participating in performance improvement programs to monitor and assess the quality of patient care and clinical performance. The ideal candidate will maintain clinical competency and be knowledgeable about public health policies that may impact patient care. The Mobile Unit Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will also be expected to engage in community outreach and education, fostering a positive work culture and collaborating with cross-departmental teams. This position requires effective communication skills, both oral and written, and the ability to work in a mobile health environment. The candidate must be prepared to participate in in-service training programs and maintain a professional demeanor while respecting the diverse backgrounds of our clients.
