About The Position

Malvern Community Health Services (MCHS) is currently seeking a part time/ full time Mobile Therapist to work in and around the Philadelphia area. This position is a part time or full time position and offers a very flexible schedule. Position Summary: An MT provides individual and family therapy to the child. An MT can assist the family to promote the independence of the family in managing mental health needs and/or behavior problems. An MT develops a crisis plan with other involved professionals and the family. The hours are flexible , and you are permitted to work in other agencies. This position can be a partime or full time position depending on the applicants availabilty. Summary of Essential Position Functions: Provide weekly individual and family therapy interventions to client and family to provide evidence-based or evidence- informed clinical practices and interventions to clients and family members in individual and family therapy sessions Collaborate with team members Complete all paperwork within policy time frames Initiate and attend treatment team meetings monthly with child, family and treatment team Attend interagency meetings Provide services within authorized number of hours per week Attend staff meetings and Comply with all IBHS policies Attend sixteen (16) hours of training per year & mandatory trainings as necessary Participate in the Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Evaluation/Re-Evaluation/ Addendum by providing pertinent clinical information via, including but not limited to, direct reports, clinical reviews, functional behavioral assessments, completed structured assessment tools, and updated goals, objectives, and interventions in the treatment plan/ resiliency plan/ and behavior modification plan If not, a licensed Psychologist you must attend supervision with licensed Psychologist one (1) hour a month Travel to and from client sites to perform services (100% travel required) Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • This position requires individuals that are client focused; team oriented; great interpersonal and communication skills; dependable; problem solving skills; organizational skills; focused on compliance and performance quality.
  • Licensed Mental Health Clinician, OR Clinical Psychologist, OR Clinical Social Worker, OR LMFT, LSW, LCSW, LPC OR Graduate Mental Health degree (1) year verified paid post-master experience providing psychotherapy/counseling to children
  • Individual and family therapy experience
  • Knowledge of mental health systems
  • Clearances for Child Abuse, FBI and State Criminal, as well as CPR/First Aid Certification and Liability Insurance
  • Must be able to intervene and control agitated clients through non-physical interventions.
  • Hazards include risk of exposure to disease and risk of physical injury associated with psychiatric care.

Responsibilities
