About The Position

The Mobile & Shop Refrigeration Technician performs advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on straight truck and trailer refrigeration units. In this role, you’ll handle complex service requests, ensure all work meets Koch Companies and DOT standards, and provide on-site service across multiple customer and company locations. This is a mobile role that blends hands-on technical expertise with independence, problem-solving, and mentorship.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of refrigeration maintenance and repair experience, including relevant certifications
Ability to independently complete advanced refrigeration repairs
Willingness to travel to multiple locations as part of a mobile service role
Strong ability to diagnose and repair complex refrigeration systems
Advanced electrical troubleshooting and wiring repair skills in mobile conditions
Solid understanding of federal and state DOT inspection and repair standards
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize service calls independently
Clear communication skills and comfort working closely with managers and teammates

Nice To Haves

5+ years of truck or trailer refrigeration experience, especially diagnostics and cooling systems
Valid CDL A or CDL B license

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled maintenance and advanced repairs on straight truck and trailer refrigeration units
Diagnose and repair complex reefer electrical and cooling systems
Provide mobile, on-site service at customer and company locations
Practice safe work habits while following all Koch Companies policies and procedures
Read and interpret service manuals, blueprints, and technical documentation
Communicate with leadership on repair needs, parts requests, and estimates
Accurately document inspections, maintenance, and repair work
