About The Position

EMR is seeking a dependable and skilled Equipment Operator to support our metal recycling operations at our West Dallas depot. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals experienced with heavy equipment - or those eager to learn and grow in the industry. What You’ll Do Operate a crane with a mobile shear attachment to process and move scrap metal Use excavators and/or material handlers to support daily yard operations Perform daily equipment inspections and complete maintenance reports Conduct routine equipment checks and basic maintenance Follow all safety procedures and environmental guidelines Work closely with team members to ensure efficient operations Take on additional duties as needed What We’re Looking For Experience operating a crane with mobile shear preferred Strong excavator experience considered (training provided for the right candidate) Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn multiple types of equipment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs regularly Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions Strong time management and multitasking skills Must pass background check, physical exam, and drug screening What We Offer Competitive hourly pay Comprehensive benefits package (health insurance, 401(k)) Paid Time Off A safe, ethical, and team-oriented workplace A positive environment where employees are valued Work Environment Outdoor work in varying weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, etc.) Exposure to dust, fumes, and loud noise levels Required PPE: steel-toed boots, safety glasses, hard hat, high-visibility clothing, ear protection Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting Work near heavy machinery and moving equipment

Requirements

  • Experience operating a crane with mobile shear preferred
  • Strong excavator experience considered (training provided for the right candidate)
