About The Position

King O’Rourke Cadillac, Buick, GMC located on Rte. 347 Smithtown, NY is seeking to hire more Mobile Service Technicians for our NEW Mobile Service+ Department. GM Experience preferred. You will join our MS+ team and help pioneer this new department in a very successful facility with brand-new Mobile Service+ & Roadside Vehicles. Full-time position available in our Award-Winning Service Department. We have a high-volume family-owned shop with over 40 years in the business & offer the BEST PAY PLAN ON LONG ISLAND! Requirements
- Must present valid driver’s license
- Excellent customer service
- Strong communication skills
- Valid Driver’s License
- 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
Nice To Haves
- GM Experience preferred
- Diesel Technician desirable
- ASE certification desirable
- GM Training and transmission experience a plus
- DOT medical clearance a plus
Responsibilities
- Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work outside the shop as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
- Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
- Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
- Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
- Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
- Maintains an organized work area
