We are a Minnesota based family-owned business with our main location in Columbus, MN and have an opening for a Trailer Technician for our Mobile Service Trucks. We are looking for someone with mechanical aptitude, detail oriented, willing to jump in and help out where needed, able to travel, a clean driving record, and a strong work ethic. This position handles the complete repair and general maintenance of semi-trailers, as well as, all other styles and sizes of trailers. Awarded Star Tribune’s Top Workplaces 6 years in a row. Requirements
- Some overnight travel required
- Knowledge of trucks and trailers, including systems and components
- Operating engine lathes experience (a plus)
- Experience in welding, fabrication, and machining
- Demonstrates self-motivation, willingness to learn, and effective problem-solving skills
- Great work ethic
- Willingness to jump in and help out where needed
- Clean driving record (CDL a plus)
- Technical aptitude with basic electric diagnostic / troubleshooting experience a plus
- Welding experience a plus
- Basic tool set and tool box to start (assistance programs available)
- Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. occasionally and 10-50 lbs. frequently
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Reliability and a dedication to be a hard worker

Responsibilities
- Perform on-site spindle repair and replacement
- Track all parts and materials used in repairs or replacements.
- Ensure the final work product meets quality standards
- Maintain a safe and clean work area for customers and co-workers
