About The Position

McCarthy Chevrolet- Overland Park is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Mobile Service Technician to perform routine maintenance and light repair services at customer homes, workplaces, and off-site locations. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys working independently, values customer interaction, and takes pride in delivering convenient, high-quality service outside of the traditional shop environment.

Requirements

Automotive technician experience (mobile service experience a plus)
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills for routine maintenance
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Comfortable using tablets or mobile devices for work orders and documentation
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions
Flexibility with workload and schedule changes throughout the day
Attention to detail while making repairs
Use time efficiently

Manufacturer certifications
Prior dealership or fleet service experience

Responsibilities

Perform mobile automotive services such battery replacement, filters, wipers, safety recalls, and basic inspections
Safely operate and maintain a company-provided mobile service vehicle and tools
Communicate clearly with customers regarding services performed and vehicle needs
Use a laptop to accurately document completed work.
Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines
Coordinate with the service department regarding scheduling, parts, and service needs
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional mobile service setup
Must be willing and able to perform video MPI on every vehicle serviced
