About The Position

Mobile Service Technician McCarthy Chevrolet- Overland Park is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Mobile Service Technician to perform routine maintenance and light repair services at customer homes, workplaces, and off-site locations. This role is ideal for a technician who enjoys working independently, values customer interaction, and takes pride in delivering convenient, high-quality service outside of the traditional shop environment. Key Responsibilities Perform mobile automotive services such battery replacement, filters, wipers, safety recalls, and basic inspections Safely operate and maintain a company-provided mobile service vehicle and tools Communicate clearly with customers regarding services performed and vehicle needs Use a laptop to accurately document completed work. Follow all safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines Coordinate with the service department regarding scheduling, parts, and service needs Maintain a clean, organized, and professional mobile service setup

Requirements

  • Automotive technician experience (mobile service experience a plus)
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills for routine maintenance
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Comfortable using tablets or mobile devices for work orders and documentation
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying conditions
  • Flexibility with workload and schedule changes throughout the day
  • Attention to detail while making repairs
  • Use time efficiently
  • Must be willing and able to perform video MPI on every vehicle serviced

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certification(s)
  • Manufacturer certifications
  • Prior dealership or fleet service experience

Responsibilities
