About The Position

Welcome to David Lawrence Centers for Behavioral Health (DLC), where we provide life-saving and life-changing behavioral health care through the help of the industry's most skilled professionals. Headquartered in Naples, Florida, DLC is a respected leader in the behavioral health field, providing comprehensive and innovative mental health and substance use treatment services. Celebrating over 50 years of service to the region, DLC is a not-for-profit organization, overseen by a volunteer board of community leaders, and is accredited by The Joint Commission. Serving adults, children and families, DLC provided more than 315,000 prevention, intervention and treatment services in the last year. Our NEW Mobile Crisis Response Team at DLC rapidly responds 24/7 to requests for crisis interventions in the community. Referral sources include health care providers, family members, self-referral, law enforcement, and other community members. This is a fast-paced environment where MRT Client Care Specialists work collaboratively with Psychiatrists, Nurses, and the MRT clinical staff to meet the needs of Clients and families via a multi-disciplinary team approach. Our Mobile Crisis Response Team provides elevated and modern Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder services. We are looking to select clinically strong but compassionately-focused professionals with relevant experience in community-based crisis intervention and triage.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Behavioral Health, Social Work, Health Care Administration or related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in related environment (mental health, group homes, prison, detention centers, etc.).
  • Current and clear Florida Driver's License.
  • Demonstrated expertise in working with and relating to a diversity of diverse cultural/social/economic backgrounds.
  • Program implementation skills.
  • Competency in age-related or specialty issues/developmental needs.
  • Ability to effectively utilize available resources to ensure a comprehensive, holistic and integrated treatment approach that supports evidence-based practices.
  • Well-founded clinical and risk management skills.
  • Flexibility, accessibility, working after hours, including some weekends, to ensure accountability and integrity.
  • Exceptional skills in organization (time and information) and communication (written and verbal).
  • Staying compliant on all trainings and immunizations.
  • Ability to pass a Level II DCF Mental Health Fingerprinting, Drug Screen and Local Criminal Check.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Office 365 skills (Including Teams/Video Conferencing) and Electronic Medical Records experience.

Responsibilities

  • Responding to crisis situations, conducting risk assessments, triage duties and completing safety planning with individuals in crisis in the school, home and community.
  • Provide support and coordination to clients, families and the MRT Clinical staff.
  • Connecting individuals who need a more intensive level of Mental Health/Substance Use Disorder services to the appropriate resources within DLC and the community.
  • Local travel including to/from multiple service sites, to the homes, or residences or persons served, and within the community.
