Licensed Mobile Response Team performs crisis intervention, risk assessment and referral services for individuals in the community that are experiencing a mental health crisis. The LMHP will be part of the Mobile Response Team and will function as a crisis counselor responding via phone and is mobile, responding to where the crisis is taking place, such as at a school (all levels), community location or home. Works cooperatively with law enforcement and schools. The LMRTC will strive to avert psychiatric hospitalization though crisis intervention but may initiate the Baker Act or Marchman Act for involuntary examination when appropriate. The LMRTC will make referrals and help to connect individuals with community resources and treatment. The LMRTC will conduct risk assessments and document in Apalachee Center’s electronic medical record. The LMRTC can also assist the Central Receiving Facility when minors are brought in by parents and need Baker Act evaluations. Experience working with children and adults preferred. The LMRTC will also serve as back-up for our Licensed Mental Health Professionals on the Tallahassee Emergency Assessment Mobile (TEAM) unit, which includes being a part of a 2-person team with Tallahassee Police Department officers, operating off-site and will be dispatched to the community through 9-1-1.
