About The Position

PTI Health (www.ptihealth.com) seeks an experienced, full-time Mobile Phlebotomist who has a passion for caring for people. We have multiple positions available for immediate hire. As a PTI Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for the procurement of blood and other laboratory specimens from home-bound patients and patients at facilities such as nursing homes, drug rehabilitation centers, adult daycares and PSC. This position requires attention to detail, a great attitude, empathy, patience, a caring spirit, and excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

Requirements

  • Valid NCPT Phlebotomy certificate by NCCT, NHA or a current certification by an accepted certifying agency for phlebotomy. This job requires employees to demonstrate initial and annual competencies in order to remain in the position.
  • In addition, candidate should have: Experience using a Ipad, centrifuge, and office printer
  • Reliable, efficient transportation with valid driver license and proof of current liability insurance
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Mobile Phlebotomy experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide patients with the highest level of care.
  • Uphold the highest level of ethical behavior.
  • Follow policies, procedures, and requirements stipulated by PTI Mobile Lab and our partners.
  • Procure blood and other laboratory specimens from patients utilizing standard venipuncture (and other appropriate) procedures.
  • Process specimens (centrifuge, pipette, and freeze when required).
  • Transport specimens to local lab or PSC for processing.
  • Our phlebotomists work Monday-Friday, no weekends or holidays. They work an 8-hour day shift that typically starts at 7 am and ends at 3 pm.
