About The Position

PharMerica is a non-retail pharmacy that focuses on providing exceptional customer service and meeting the pharmacy needs for hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, long-term acute care centers, and other specialized care centers nationwide. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mobile Pharmacy Technician to join our team. This role requires local travel up to 75%, to senior living communities to assist in pharmacy operations, medication preparation, and patient support. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, excellent customer service, and the ability to work independently in a mobile setting.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a pharmacy technician
  • Pharmacy technician certification preferred
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Travel to multiple locations to support pharmacy operations and medication distribution
  • Collect information needed to fill prescriptions from customers or healthcare professionals
  • Measures, mixes, and labels medications under the supervision of a pharmacist
  • Ensures accurate prescription preparation and dispensing
  • Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing prescription medications
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers
  • Process insurance claims and handle medication inquiries
  • Ensure inventory control and proper storage of medications during transit
  • Adhere to all safety and security protocols while transporting medications
  • Communicate effectively with pharmacy teams and healthcare professionals
