As a Mobile Medium-Duty Mechanic in Sterling, VA, specializing in light and medium-duty fleet vehicles, your role is crucial in ensuring the safety, satisfaction, and excellence of our fleet maintenance services. Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Pay: $33/hr - $40/hr (depending on experience) Shift: Monday- Friday 7:00 PM- 3:30 AM The benefits of belonging – what’s in it for you? · Competitive hourly pay – paid weekly, every Friday · Full benefits within 30 days · Medical, dental, vision, prescription drug coverage, life insurance, disability insurance · 401(k) match program · Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time · Commitment to your safety through boot and prescription safety glasses reimbursement · Career and learning development with an extensive training program through our Amerit University · Employee referral program, up to $1,000 bonus · ASE certification program with fee reimbursement and bonus · Employee recognition platform that includes opportunities to redeem points for merchandise · Employee assistance program (EAP) · 24/7 nurse triage line · Employee discounts on cell phone service and entertainment tickets · Employee resource groups (ERGs) that foster inclusion · Wellness and fitness program through our providers · Laptop and/or cellphone provided What the Mobile Medium-Duty Mechanic role looks like: · Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computer · Perform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium-duty vehicles · Perform safety inspections of equipment and prepare the safety documentation required · Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures · Inspect and perform work on the underparts of vehicles · Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance · Move parts to and from the job site and remove or install these parts on vehicles · Maintain general upkeep and maintenance of the mobile Service Truck · Respond to off-site client requests as needed · Interact with clients through both email and phone as necessary · Perform other duties as required What our ideal candidate looks like: · At least 3 years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance, or must have ASE 609, Strong Heavy-Duty and Medium-Duty Vehicle PM, Repairs, DOT Inspections, and Diagnostic / Electrical Skills. · Must have a valid Driver’s License · CMV operation above 10K requiring medical certification · Proficient computer skills: knowledge of Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and Email · Ability to work without direct supervision · Strong written and verbal communication skills (documentation, communication with peers, · supervisors, etc.) · Must provide own hand tools & toolbox. Working Conditions: Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job. Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise. Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance Ability to move and position heavy objects Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles Ability to work outside in various weather conditions. Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience performing vehicle maintenance, or must have ASE 609, Strong Heavy-Duty and Medium-Duty Vehicle PM, Repairs, DOT Inspections, and Diagnostic / Electrical Skills.
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- CMV operation above 10K requiring medical certification
