Requirements

  • Minimum of 3+ years’ hands-on experience with maintenance of fleet vehicles and/or heavy equipment.
  • Basic Microsoft Office knowledge, Required.
  • Valid Driver’s license, Required.

Nice To Haves

  • Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) knowledge, preferred.
  • CDL Class B, Preferred.
  • ASE Mechanic Certifications, Preferred.
  • ASE Diesel Mechanic Certifications, Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment while adhering to all Safety procedures, rules, regulations.
  • Determines vehicle condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts; aids in developing preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
  • Keeps equipment available for use by completing preventive maintenance schedules; installing component and parts upgrades; controlling corrosion.
  • Corrects vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics.
  • Verifies vehicle performance by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems.
  • Maintains vehicle records by noting services, repairs, and parts.
  • Keeps supplies ready by determining stock levels; inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipts.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publications.
  • Must be able to use basic hand tools and specialized tools as needed.
  • Able to lift and carry products and/or equipment of up to 100 lbs.
  • Performing other duties as assigned or directed by Supervisor/Management.
