We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Mobile Mammography Technologist at varying levels (I, II). The selected candidate will be placed at the appropriate level based on qualifications and experience. All levels contribute to patient care under the supervision of licensed medical professionals, with increasing responsibilities at higher levels.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology.
  • ARRT (R)(M) certification.
  • MRT- General Certificate.
  • BLS through American Heart Association.
  • 40 hours mammography training approved by the ARRT to meet the minimum initial FDA & TMB requirements for mammographers.
  • 2+ years of experience in mammography or 1+ years of KSC experience in x-ray and/or SCNB experience.
  • Ability to travel with mobile mammography coach to any location (within the Houston area) as scheduled.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License, access to reliable transportation and insurable driving record.
  • Proven working knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and accreditation requirements.

Nice To Haves

  • For Mobile Mammography Technologist II: 3+ years of experience in mammography or 1+ years of KSC experience in mammography quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the mobile coach to and from assigned locations and utilize equipment which produces ionizing radiation to obtain radiographs for diagnostic purposes according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic.
  • When the mobile coach is not traveling, cover the Main Campus or other locations when needed.
  • Perform imaging services that vary by site, including rotation through DEXA bone density studies and performance of stereotactic guided biopsies depending on location.
  • Utilize the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and designated PACS system for stereotactic and DEXA studies.
