WHAT YOU GET TO DO Be a team member and provide first-class maintenance and support to our customers on operation and maintenance of automated storage and retrieval systems and storage and picking systems installed at our customer’s locations Demonstrate proven experience dealing with electro-mechanical faults and failures and understand the importance of providing preventative maintenance services as part of a resident service and support system Provide 24 hr maintenance support to customers or according to customer schedule In conjunction with the customer’s on-site maintenance department, provide efficient response to Customer, following a first-time right policy Participate in site-related meetings as and when required, with both the Customer and KNAPP Provide emergency breakdown and maintenance support Create strong effective working relationships with customers and their operational agents to enable KNAPP to provide a first-class service Achieve performance standards for output, speed of response and quality of repair and workmanship Provide maintenance support on other issues, including installed system Essential Skills and Functions: Mechanical strip-down/re-assembly, basic field wiring, machine calibration and system testing Ability to work within an assigned timeframe to complete reactive repairs Interaction with on-site management, keeping them informed of repair and maintenance progression and addressing their concerns in a professional manner Hands-on ownership of issues to achieve a quick time resolution Ability to interpret and work with electrical circuit diagrams Appreciation of health & safety considerations as related to given tasks and ability to carry out risk assessments successfully Mechanical aptitude, including the ability to read assembly drawings Operation of hand tools and ability to assemble parts onto equipment Ability to follow set up instructions, assembly drawings and check lists Attention to detail and exceptional follow-up skills Excellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers Superior communication skills Computer literate with basic Microsoft Office skills Willingness to learn and adapt to changing role requirements Appreciation of cultural diversity
