About The Position

PanCare of Florida is seeking a dependable, compassionate Mobile Health Technician to support our Mobile Health Services team during peak service seasons. In this role, you will deliver essential health screenings and basic clinical support directly to schools and community sites, helping expand access to care for children and underserved populations. Requirements

  • Knowledge of basic medical procedures, health screenings, and first aid
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management and multitasking abilities
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and data entry
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
  • Problem-solving skills and sound judgment in dynamic situations
  • Computer literacy, including EMR systems and basic office technology
  • Administrative skills related to intake, documentation, and record maintenance
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Current CPR certification (Infant/Child/Adult/AED) and First Aid training required
  • Ability to pass a Level 2 Fingerprint Background Check (state and FBI), due to working with children and vulnerable populations
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting (medical office, clinic, hospital, or mobile unit preferred)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with children or in a school-based setting strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with medical documentation, health records, and office equipment (scanner, copier, fax)

Responsibilities

  • Perform student health screenings including vision, hearing, height, weight, scoliosis, lead, hemoglobin, BMI calculations, and early childhood developmental screenings
  • Accurately document screening results and clinical encounters according to policy and procedure
  • Administer medications and provide minor first aid as directed by a physician
  • Assist with identification and management of communicable diseases and health conditions
  • Notify PanCare nursing staff, parents/guardians, and school administrators of acutely ill or injured students
  • Maintain efficient patient flow within mobile clinic operations
  • Perform CPR/AED interventions when necessary
  • Complete mobile site check-in and intake processes at schools and community events
  • Ensure all patient paperwork is complete, accurate, and accounted for
  • Communicate professionally with site contacts, school staff, parents/guardians, and PanCare team members
  • Track and report daily patient encounters and site activity
  • Collaborate with Mobile Medical Assistants to complete Daily Count and End-of-Site Count forms
  • Monitor medical supplies and equipment usage and report needs to the mobile office
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in compliance with PanCare policies, HIPAA, and School District requirements
  • Assist with medical record data entry and documentation as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including tasks outlined by the Florida Department of Health’s Provision of Health Services guidelines
