About The Position

ChampionXhas an immediate need for aMobile Fleet MechaniclocatedinNorth Dakota. This position is primarily responsible for providing maintenance of any type ofheavy dutyvehicle used to deliver chemicals to customers, plants, and/or warehouse locations. Requirements

  • Minimum high school graduate or GED
  • 2 years diesel mechanic experience
  • Acceptable motor vehicle record (3 years)
  • Immigration sponsorship not offered for this role
  • Must be 21 years of age or older to operate company vehicle
  • Must be comfortable working with cameras in the truck cab
  • All candidates must have the ability to speak, read, and write English
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Role isdeemedsafety-sensitive and may be subject to employer or customer drug testing

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years diesel mechanic experience
  • Chemical pump and plumbing knowledge
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical, hydraulic, and chassis systems
  • Have certifications in brake, CVSA, and A/C systems
  • Knowledge of use of diagnostic software (ADOC, INSITE)
  • Experience working on hydraulic pumps, and PTO
  • Awareness of chemical safety andthe measuresto takein the event ofskin contact or spill
  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL), issued by the state in which the candidateresideswith all the relevant endorsements (X - Hazmat & Tanker)

Responsibilities

  • Servicing all types of delivery and treating trucks.
  • Inspect allheavy dutyvehicles once a month
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on all delivery vehicles
  • Perform field repairs as needed
  • Take part in planning and scheduling repairs in daily ops meeting
  • MaintainChampionXpolicy inspection maintenance records
  • Keeps current on safety techniques and take advantage of all opportunities to improve driving and safety skills
  • Recognize and avoid safety hazards in the work environment
  • Assistin any emergency that may need mechanical knowledge
  • Ensure equipment is safe and in proper working order including scheduling of preventative maintenance
  • Adhere to company policies and follow Standard Operating Procedure per job task
  • Wearrequired personal protection equipment (PPE) at all timesduring job tasks
  • Ensure a safe work environment, promote asafetyculture, and deliver safety training (weekly), etc.
  • Manage all fleet equipment and maintenance needs
  • Directing all fleet mechanics and maintenance activities to ensure all repair and maintenance work is performed safely, efficiently, andtimely.
  • Managing monthly OPEX on repair and maintenance
  • Manage and perform inventory tasks
  • Ensure all partners in the supply chain are working effectively and efficiently to ensure smooth operations and maintenance.
