This is a full-time mobile position with occasional on call and storm support responsibilities. Schedule is flexible.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of light to heavy duty vehicle maintenance experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of gas and diesel powered equipment.
  • High school diploma or its equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
  • CDL preferred but not required.
  • Must be computer literate.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Must possess necessary skills to operate and interpret diagnostic equipment.
  • Candidates must provide truck technician hand tools.
  • Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Card to operate a service vehicle.
  • At least 2 years of performing DOT inspections.
  • This position is contingent upon your ability to pass a preemployment criminal history check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • ASE Certifications preferred or capable of gaining certifications.
  • Hydraulic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Completes repairs and maintains a variety of gasoline and diesel powered equipment and vehicles from a mobile service truck.
  • Perform inspections, repair and maintenance operations on a variety of powered, non-powered equipment, and vehicles.
  • Operate and perform diagnosis on equipment, maintain and repair hydraulic systems, routes and replaces hydraulic lines, check system for leaks and proper operation.
  • Perform diagnosis and repair complex electrical systems.
  • Perform routine vehicle and equipment preventive maintenance inspections checking, DOT inspections and replaces fluids, checks lights and other electrical system components, etc.
  • Provide clear and accurate information when entering work order data into a fleet maintenance system.
  • Ability to perform administrative tasks and the ability to prioritize work load in a productive manner.
