About The Position

About the Role: As a CBRE Mobile Technician, you will ensure the operational efficiency of critical equipment across 13 hospital facilities within the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) Metroplex. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, responding to work orders, and engaging directly with clients in a professional capacity. While focused primarily on ice machines, opportunities for exposure to other general maintenance tasks, including minor HVAC and plumbing, may arise. We provide comprehensive training and a company vehicle for your travel within your portfolio. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems. What You'll Do: Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed building systems, equipment, and facilities. Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on ice machines across multiple commercial hospital sites, accounting for the majority of daily tasks. Execute around 3-4 ice machine maintenance tasks daily in a highly repetitive and detail-oriented manner. Respond promptly to work orders related to general building maintenance. Conduct general facilities maintenance tasks as needed, demonstrating versatility. Adhere strictly to a pre-determined schedule while managing your route efficiently. Work independently and efficiently in various environments. Interact professionally and courteously with clients and facility staff at all supported locations. Travel extensively throughout the DFW Metroplex, including areas like Fort Worth, Waxahachie, Denton, Plano, Irving, and Grapevine. Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems. Review assigned work orders and estimate the time and materials needed to complete repairs. Manage and track completion. Support energy management by taking measures to ensure that all systems are operating in the most efficient manner. Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations. Use communication skills to exchange straightforward information. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and supervisors. Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion. Impact through clearly defined duties, methods, and tasks are described in detail. Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience.
  • In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Valid Driver's License required.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
  • Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.
