Requirements

• Previous Maintenance and Welding experience working on Industrial or heavy construction equipment.
• Familiarity with CAT, Empire, Vermeer, Volvo, Deere, Komatsu, and other similar companies.
• Knowledge of best practices related to using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
• General knowledge of the occupational hazards involved in welding.
• Understanding of Diagnostic and Heavy Equipment Computer-based Troubleshooting.
• Flexibility to work overtime and extended hours depending on customer and company demands.
• Mechanical Skills with knowledge of industrial tools, their uses, and maintenance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Tier 4 Finals on Heavy Equipment Standards.
• Knowledge of engine, hydraulics, and electronics.

Responsibilities

• Promote Safety by prioritizing safety throughout the operation for yourself and others at all times in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards.
• Repair and Maintain Mobile Equipment by servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing all mobile equipment that operates throughout the plant.
• Inspect Equipment and Material to identify and troubleshoot the cause of errors and perform repairs as necessary.
• Handle and Move Objects safely throughout the shop and plant.
• Document and Record Information accurately regarding all mobile equipment.
• Operate Equipment by assisting in driving heavy equipment and vehicles throughout the plant.
• Perform General Physical Activities that require moving your whole body and considerable use of your arms and legs.
• Other duties as assigned.
