As a Mobile Equipment Operator for Bell Lumber and Pole, you will play a pivotal role in the effectiveness of various of our Broken Bow, OK yard by safely handling raw materials and finished products in a dynamic outdoor environment. If you are looking for a change, apply today! As a Mobile Equipment Operator, you’ll be responsible for the safe handling and movement of utility poles and materials across our site. You'll operate front-end loaders and related equipment, ensure loads are secure, and contribute to a clean, organized yard. Full-Time | Hourly | Sun–Thurs on 3rd Shift 10:00PM - 6:00AM — With overtime as needed $20.60/hour (after training) + $1.00 shift differential

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • One-year technical certificate OR 3–6 months of related experience preferred
  • Prior experience with heavy equipment operation and maintenance is strongly desired
  • Physical ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

  • Operating heavy equipment to load and unload utility poles from trucks, trams, and railcars (Front-end Loaders, Knucklebooms, etc.)
  • Performing pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and reliability
  • Following work orders and loading poles with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Maintaining equipment cleanliness, fueling, and reporting any issues
  • Communicating clearly with yard staff, drivers, and supervisors
  • Monitoring load balance and securing materials to prevent damage
  • Adhering to safety standards and wearing appropriate PPE
  • Assisting with general yard duties as needed
  • Understand OSHA safety rules and work in compliance with the Bell Timber safety standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Identify and report any and all unsafe working conditions.
  • Ability to read and understand equipment startup procedures, operation procedures, shutdown procedures, and maintenance manuals.
  • Perform all work in compliance with company standards and procedures.
