About The Position

Weyerhaeuser Company is searching for a Mobil Equipment Mechanic for the Engineered Wood facility located in Buckhannon WV. This position is part of the Weyerhaeuser Engineered Wood Products Business and reports to the Maintenance Manager. It is a full time, hourly position. Key Functions: Self-starter, ability to manage time effectively with minimal supervision. Preventative maintenance and repair of forklifts, Wheeled loaders, man-lifts, light trucks, vacuum equipment, mobile cranes, and other rolling stock. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and all other component failures. Disassemble, overhaul, repair and reassemble any equipment components including engines, transmissions, differentials, clutches, brakes, hydraulic systems, brake systems, fuel systems, etc. Manage vendor/OEM/ contractor related tasks as related to warranty, preventive or breakdown work. Utilize SAP as a complete work system. Maintain and order inventory within budgeted plan. Maintain an organized, efficient equipment shop including parts stagging, tool and consumable storage practices. The following qualifications are required: All Applicants must have a high school education or GED from an accredited institution. Stable employment history with a minimum of five (5) years' experience in Industrial Mechanical work. Must be willing and able to work adjustable schedule, to include weekends and holidays as equipment conditions require. A personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations. Computer experience is required. Experience with: Bolting and fastening fundamentals, precision alignment techniques, metal fabrication, basic cylinder repair and machinery lubrication. Ability to repair and troubleshoot issues with mechanical power transmission, pneumatic and hydraulic systems. Ability to perform a welding presentation. Good working knowledge of basic mobile electrical issues and controls. Ability to comprehend blueprints and wiring schematics. Successfully complete a pre-employment examination, drug test and background check.
