About The Position

The position involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing EnergySolutions vehicles and mobile heavy equipment. The role includes performing welding, lubrication, fueling, preventive maintenance, and field repair duties on all mobile equipment as assigned. The technician will identify mechanical components in need of repair to prevent breakdowns and recommend improvements as appropriate. The technician will operate and inspect vehicles and other mobile equipment to identify defects, malfunctions, and failures, and will repair and replace damaged and worn parts while maintaining compliance with company policies to ensure a safe work environment. Reporting defects and damages to supervision, testing and making adjustments to mechanical components after repairs, and documenting repairs and refurbishments are also key responsibilities. The technician will communicate with supervisors regarding parts and repair orders and perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as assigned. This position does not involve supervising other workers, and the technician is responsible for the quality of their own work and satisfying customer specifications.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Certification as a diesel mechanic or light vehicle mechanic.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with maintenance and repair of mobile material handling and heavy equipment.
  • Demonstrated ability to repair and maintain vehicles and heavy equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team player attitude.

  • Responsible for the quality of own work and satisfying customer specifications.
  • Works independently and resolves practical problems.
  • Completes process/facility training as assigned.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
