Responsibilities include the removal, repair, and installation of various heavy equipment systems or components, including transmissions, engines, brakes, differentials, pumps, motors, torque converters, and final drives. The role also requires performing mechanical and lubrication preventative maintenance on machine systems, prioritizing equipment repairs, maintaining work orders, and conducting work area inspections. Additionally, the position involves operating mobile equipment like overhead cranes, forklifts, and boom trucks, performing various welding techniques, and acting as a fill-in supervisor when necessary. Training and mentoring other employees is also part of the job, along with performing other duties as required.
