About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mobile Engine Test Stand 1st shift Mechanic to support Dyno Operations with test properties. This role involves hands-on work with a variety of Propulsion Systems including internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • General mechanic knowledge
  • 1 year of experience working as an automotive mechanic, automotive tech, or a related position. Will consider candidates with an automotive repair degree/certification in lieu of experience.
  • Willingness to work in a team-based environment.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of operating a computer.
  • Possession of a mechanics toolbox and hand tool set.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree, State or SAE certifications a plus.
  • Possess overall good fabrication skills having a high mechanical aptitude and deductive reasoning
  • Possess skills for MIG & TIG welding on metals including stainless steel, mild steel, cast iron, and aluminum
  • Ability to read basic prints
  • Familiarity with engine and exhaust system instrumentation

Responsibilities

  • Install internal combustion engines, full powertrains, and electric drive motors onto dyno test carts.
  • Remove and reassemble external engine components as needed.
  • Assist with catalyst aging procedures and dyno cell exhaust system development.
  • Perform basic welding and fabrication.
  • Support setup and maintenance of engine instrumentation and exhaust components.
