Requirements

  • Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license.
  • Electrician Journeyman's and/or State License is required.
  • High school diploma or state equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 4 years of electrical trade school or training equivalent, with 5+ years of electrical work experience.
  • Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.
  • Team player, hard worker, good interpersonal skills, ability to communicate well in both oral and written reports.
  • Good verbal and written communications skills are required.
  • Skilled and physically able to operate hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift, and carry heavy loads, operate required equipment, and operate a motor vehicle.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of overall MEP system design and application.
  • Experience managing work orders, utilizing CMMS technology.
  • Experience working in a service-related role, specific to commercial facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains, installs, and troubleshoots all aspects of electrical infrastructure.
  • Operates, inspects, and maintains all electrical equipment and systems in assigned facilities to obtain most efficient operating results and life expectancy.
  • Assures that equipment is being maintained in an energy efficient, safe manner and down time is reduced to a minimum by anticipation of necessary repairs and keeping records of past operating experiences.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of electrical / instrumentation / control building equipment and systems required to operate and maintain electrical equipment and systems.
  • Plan and layout work details in the assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical apparatus, control equipment and wiring used in industrial light and power distribution systems.
  • Troubleshoot and correct faulty wiring or electrical difficulties in motors, and other equipment.
  • Diagnoses, troubleshoot, repair, maintain, upgrade and install all electrical/instrumentation equipment and systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.
  • Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine the best approach to completion of assignments in a safe, environmentally compliant manner.
  • Safely use a large variety of hand and shop power tools.
  • Complete all documentation by required deadlines.
  • Document accurately and clearly in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) in real time.
  • Perform all incidental /associated work required to complete the job assignment.
  • Work with minimal supervision and proactively communicate with manager.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a safe, efficient, and clean operating condition.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Assist in performing other duties, including work of other trades as required.
